Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a very simple and straightforward way to produce a great transformation in your smile. It can be used as a stand-alone treatment or as part of a larger more complex smile makeover transformation.

At Kendal Dental Care, we use the best home-based whitening systems available. First, we digitally scan your teeth – no messy impressions required – and then we construct custom made whitening trays for you. We will then show you how to load these trays with the whitening gel, and position them in your mouth.

Transient sensitivity can sometimes be an issue, and we have several aids to help you manage this should it occur.

It is usual to either wear these trays overnight whilst you sleep or for a few hours during the day.

The active whitening ingredient is Carbamide Peroxide that releases Hydrogen Peroxide, the only known constituent to whiten teeth. The gels we use are safe, reliable and incredibly predictable. We know that most patients will need a treatment of around 14 days to achieve the brightness they are looking for. Occasionally this can take longer but we will monitor you and continue if necessary.

Composite Bonding

Modern advances in techniques and materials allows us to use tooth coloured composite restorative materials to sculpt and shape teeth to your desired result. Using these techniques we can make quite amazing changes with minimal loss of existing tooth structure.
Composite bonding is very commonly used after the completion of orthodontic treatment, and is also used in conjunction with tooth whitening treatments.

We also use composites as a way of assessing aesthetic changes with veneers or crowns before embarking on the definitive treatment. It allows us to be able to show you what the finished result may look like, and allows us to ensure that it will provide you with an excellent, and long-lasting smile.

Making improvements to your smile can be very simple, with perhaps a visit to the dental hygienists for stain removal. It can also be quite a complex treatment plan involving replacement of missing teeth, teeth straightening, tooth whitening and composite bonding.

It is important to first assess your concern and truly understand what you do not like about your smile and what you would like to change.

Our team will discuss all the options with you and together we can plan a transformation that you will be delighted with. Smile makeovers often require a multi-disciplinary approach using various procedures and techniques.

Facial Aesthetics

Rejuvenate your skin

Whether you are concerned about lines and wrinkles, or you simply want to look younger and fresher, we offer a range of facial aesthetics treatments to help you.
Facial treatments are available to help prevent lines appearing or deepening by reducing the muscle movements that can cause these unwanted changes. All treatments are administered by our trained clinicians under prescription.

Alternatively, dermal fillers can be used to restore a more youthful appearance to the face. The fillers are used to replace the natural hyaluronic acid in the skin that depletes over time. Regular maintenance is necessary to give the best possible results. However, if you decide not to continue with treatment, the effects will gradually wear off until your natural appearance returns.
