Dental Fees at Kendal Dental Care

Quality First

A Guide To Our Fees

When we talk about quality, we mean a higher level of patient care and treatment. When you become one of our patients, you will experience first-hand how this feels. Our fees reflect these high standards and the time spent (on our continuing education and with you). Working together, we are confident that you will feel any treatment is an excellent long-term investment in your dental health. We are aware that this is often a deciding factor when patients make decisions to proceed with treatment or seek treatment elsewhere.

The scope of work necessary for each patient can vary enormously and it is simply not possible to create a comprehensive guide to exact fees that may be involved for any given treatment.

We will often work towards a result and therefore do not have a “fee per item” fee structure but rather a time and costs-based fee structure which may be different to most other practices. These fees not only reflect what we plan to do, but also how we plan it.

Individual customised estimates will be provided after sufficient information has been gathered from your consultation appointment(s). Whilst we try to make these as accurate as possible, please note that they are estimates and may change to reflect the treatment provided.

Please be assured that we always endeavour to be as cost effective as possible, but the scope of work that we carry out (complex cases can often take hours and occasionally days of planning) is often time-consuming and labour-intensive and our fees must reflect this.

Dental Fees at Kendal Dental Care

Initial Consultation

Unless you are in pain or have a dental emergency, your initial appointment will be for a consultation. We ask that the fee for this initial appointment is paid in full (and as a non-refundable deposit) when you make this appointment.

Often study models and follow up appointments are also required. These would incur an additional cost.

ways to pay at

kendal dental care:

You may pay for your dental care by cheque, cash, or credit/debit card.

Most of our patients have arranged for their routine care through Denplan Essentials. For more information, please contact us, or ask a member of staff.

We try to make payment as straightforward as possible.

We ask that patients pay £100 prior to booking an appointment for treatment, and the remaining balance for each appointment paid on the day.

Failure to do so may result in additional costs being incurred and may result in you being removed from the practice database.

We reserve the right to refuse further appointments until any outstanding account has been settled.

If you have any questions relating to our dental fees please contact our reception team who will be happy to advise you further.

Laboratory

fees

In the case of crown and bridgework involving a technician we ask for the deposit above, 50% of the remaining cost at the preparation appointment, and settlement in full the day of the delivery.

The payment plan for dentures will be provided to you, detailing the fees due at each stage.

You will always be shown the lab work at a try-in stage (whether at a separate appointment or before cementation) for your approval prior to fitting. Once approved and fitted you are liable for the full fees.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Estimates &

guarantees

Treatment Estimates

Estimates are valid for 3 calendar months from the date the treatment plan was formed.

Where this 3-month period has lapsed without acceptance of the treatment plan and payment of a deposit, a further review appointment will often be required to ensure that the treatment plan is still appropriate. This will incur an additional fee.

Where this 3-month period overlaps a date of fee revision at the practice, we will honour the original estimate if treatment commences and proceeds within the prescribed timescale for each phase.

Treatment Guarantees

We guarantee our work against technical failure for five years from the date of fit/placement.

“Technical failure” will be diagnosed and photographically documented by the dental surgeon and the information shared with the dental technician responsible for any laboratory work fitted.
